Welcome to Post Sixteen at Cleeve Park School
Welcome to Post Sixteen at Cleeve Park School
At Cleeve Park, we offer a Post 16 education that prepares students for whatever their next step in life holds. Not all students know what they want to do when they finish school, so we see it as our responsibility and honour to support young people navigate this stage of their education, preparing them for the known and unknown world ahead.
For September 2025 we will be offering the following pathways:
-
Academic - Students can choose to study 3 A Level / Level 3 courses
-
CACT Football Academy (Academic) - In partnership with Charlton Athletic Community Trust, this pathway is for students who have aspirations of playing or working in Football at high levels but also have academic ambitions. Students can study 3 A Level / Level 3 qualifications alongside their football training.
-
CACT Football Academy (Vocational) - In partnership with Charlton Athletic Community Trust, this pathway is for students who have aspirations of playing or working in Football at high levels but would like a more vocational pathway. Students will study for the Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma in Sport & Physical Activity (equivalent to 3 x A Levels) alongside their football training.
-
Diploma in Sport & Physical Activity - This is a vocational pathway where students will study for the Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma in Sport & Physical Activity (equivalent to 3 x A Levels) but independent from the Football Academy
Throughout Years 12 and 13 to each member of our sixth form will be given the expert advice and guidance required to assist with the next step in their lives Post 18, be it university, apprenticeship or employment.
We provide a comprehensive curriculum that will enable young people to specialise or have a broad Key Stage 5 offer that will allow choices to be made at a later stage. We have excellent facilities that support the independent learning that is required at Key Stage 5, but also maintain the pastoral and social support that young people need.
Students in our sixth form are provided with a Chromebook to work on in school and at home and access to the school WIFI.
Our pastoral team ensure that our Post 16 students are encouraged to build skills of resilience and independence but also we understand that this is not necessarily straightforward or easy.
Students have access to a private study suite fully equipped with computers staffed by an experienced Study Supervisor. We have also introduced silent study rooms, timetabled for every period, to provide an environment for extended writing and literary learning for those students whose needs require a smaller environment.
Sixth Form students also have their own canteen which provides a more relaxed environment at break and lunch away from the main part of the school.
