Odd Sock Day - Wed 13th November
11 November 2024
Dear Parent/Carer,
Today marks the beginning of National Anti-Bullying Week for 2024 - Monday 11th November until Friday 15th November.
As a school, we back such moves to promote awareness around bullying and being able to talk about what we can do together to stop it. Students will be discussing this in their weekly assembly with their Raising Standard Leader.
As part of National Anti-Bullying Week, we will be giving all students the opportunity to participate in ‘Odd Socks Day’ on Wednesday 13th November as a way to celebrate that every student and adult is unique.
If your child wishes to take part, all they need to do is to wear odd socks. This is a fun opportunity to encourage people to express themselves and celebrate their individuality. Odd Socks day is meant to be inclusive so please do not think it is a requirement to buy anything new in order to participate.
Students are still required to wear their full school uniform on the day including a blazer. If girls are wearing tights, they can wear the odd socks over their tights.
