Every year our Teaching Assistants award the Lynn Middleton Award to one of our SEND students.

Lynn was a former TA who inspired us all with her bravery, resilience and determination and each year the TAs like to recognise a student who exemplifies these characteristics.

This year the TAs have chosen Hayden Player in Year 11 as the worthy winner of this award. Hayden is an inspiring young man who does not let his difficulties stop him from achieving what he sets his mind to.

Pictured is Hayden receiving his award from Executive Headteacher Mrs O’Donnell in a recent assembly and also hard at work in the Food Technology department using the specially adapted equipment the school has provided to enable him to take GCSE Catering and Hospitality.
