16 to 19 Transition Fund

16 to 19 Tuition Fund

The 16 to 19 tuition fund is one-off funding for the 2020 to 2021 academic year only. It is provided to mitigate the disruption to learning arising from coronavirus (COVID-19).

The funding is being provided to support small group tuition for 16 to 19 students in English, maths, and other courses where learning has been disrupted. Although the actual tuition does not need to be for GCSE English or maths, the students supported all need to be those who had not achieved grade 5 or above in at least one of those subjects at this level by age 16. All supported students must be on a 16 to 19 study programme.

Cleeve Park School has been allocated funding of £7,333.

At Cleeve Park we have prioritised the students who are at a disadvantage. These would be any who did not achieve a grade 4 in any of their GCSE Maths or English, our vulnerable Bursary and any students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), particularly where they have experienced additional disruption to learning as a result of their specific needs and disabilities.

We have been working alongside an external provider which specialises in providing qualified, DBS Checked and suitable online tutors and have been able to offer us a wide variety of subject specialists to provide our students with the additional support needed.

Small group tutoring sessions are taking place in some subjects such as Economics and more tailored one to one tutoring for extremely disadvantaged students for example in Business. We have provided  learners with the resources they need to support them whilst being tutored from home and we continue to work with the provider setting up tutoring sessions for a student who is shielding at home.
